What are TXT Tones?

You can set a TXT Tone to alert you when you receive a new text message on your phone. Each TXT Tone is about 3-5 seconds long and can be assigned to all incoming text (and picture!) messages or to specific numbers in your contact book. So they work just like ringtones, except with text messages.

How do I get TXT Tones?

Can I set a ringtone as my TXT Tone? Can I set a TXT Tone as my ringtone?

Yes to both. Your phone treats a TXT Tone file just like a ringtone file and vice-versa, so you can set a ringtone as your TXT Tone and set a TXT Tone as your ringtone. But keep in mind that ringtones are a lot longer in length than TXT Tones. So it might sound a little strange if you switch them up like that.
