How do I send a message to a wireless phone number - Virgin Mobile or otherwise?

Select Messages/Messaging from your phone's Main Menu. Then select Send New/Send Text.

Select a phone number or email address from one of your contacts, or enter a new address in the Send To field. (For international texts, make sure to enter 011 + the country code + the mobile number.)

Type in your message, and hit Next/Send.

To enter numbers or symbols in the message, click on the ABC button.

To add Emoticons (smiley faces, etc.) or AutoText to a message, hit the Emoticon or AutoMsg button. (Note: On the K7 Rave, AutoText and Emoticons may be found by clicking Options -> Insert.)

How do I send a message to an email address?

Select an email address from one of your contacts, or enter a new email address in the Send To field. To enter text, click on the ABC button. Then select Normal Alpha. To enter the "@" symbol, choose Symbols from within this menu.

Once you have entered the email address, hit Next. Then, enter the message and hit Next/Send.

Who can I send messages to?

Send txt to almost anyone who has a mobile phone or email address.

You can even send message internationally... to over 170 countries worldwide on select carriers. Just enter 011 + the country code + mobile number. Simple as that. For a list of available countries and carriers, click here.

How do I reply to a message?

Open the message and hit Reply. Type your message and then select Next/Send.

How do I forward a message?

Open a message from within your Inbox, highlight Forward, and hit OK. (Note: On the K7 Rave, select Options and then Forward.)

Choose an address from one of your contacts, or enter a new address. You may add additional text to the message you're forwarding.

When you are done, hit Send.

What is the longest text message I can send and receive?

You can send and receive text messages up to 160 characters long.

What happens with messages in the Outbox?

Messages in your Outbox are queued and sent periodically until either you delete them or until they are successfully sent.

What happens if I send a message and it's not received?

Your friend may not have text messaging enabled, or they are having trouble with their text messaging.

If your friend is 100% sure that their text messaging is working, call Virgin Mobile At Your Service at 1-888-322-1122 and an advisor will be happy to help you out.

What happens if I try to send a message, but it can't be sent?

You will receive a "delivery failed" alert. You then have the option to resend the message.

If you decide you don't want to send the message, go to the Text Outbox from the Message menu, find the message, and delete it.

How do I send a single text message to multiple recipients?

Enter multiple addresses - phone number or email address - in your phone's Send To field and separate each entry with a space or a comma. The text message will go to each recipient and you'll be charged for every address you send to.

When I send a message, can I get the number or email address from my contact list?

Yes. Select Messages/Messaging from your phone's Main Menu. Then select Send New/Send Text and hit the Contacts button. (Note: On the K7 Rave, you can choose from your Contacts by clicking on Contacts List at the "Select Address" screen.) Scroll through your contacts to find the one you want, and hit OK.

Here, you can choose the contact's mobile phone number or email address. Highlight the one you want, and hit OK.

What counts as a monthly text message?

Both messages that you send and that you receive count towards your monthly total.

International texts are separate from monthly TXT. Sending or receiving an international text message will not count towards your monthly TXT total.
