Can I get Directory Assistance via text message?

Yes! Directory Assistance is now available via text message. Just send a text message to 411 with the name and location and we'll send you back a message with the phone number and listing information. There's a charge of 99¢ per listing so you'll need to opt-in for the service. Standard messaging rates apply on each request. Charges will be deducted from your account balance.

How do I opt-in for Directory Assistance via text?

There is a double opt-in process, which you will be directed through when you send your first listing request or question to 411. You will be notified of the pricing policy and need to confirm acceptance. Click here to compare our phones

How do I stop getting charged for 411 text messages?

You are only charged 99c per listing or trivia response received, plus standard messaging rates on your requests. To opt-out of the service at any time, text STOP to 411. To re-start the service, you will be required to follow the double opt-in process again.

How do I check the charges on my account?

You can check your account at any time by logging into My Account at www.virginmobileusa.com. Select Account Activity from the Navigation Menu on the left to see a record of all your charges over the last 60 days. Messages sent TO 411, 4111, or 4112 will be charged at standard rates. Listings or trivia answers (FROM 4112) will be charged at 99¢. All Administrative messages are free. For help, text HELP to 411 or call Virgin Mobile At Your Service at 800-322-1122.
