What is Pink Slip Protection?
If you're on a Virgin Mobile Monthly Plan and you lose your job, we'll credit your account (up to $90 per month) for 3 months. This service is included free with all our Monthly Plans, including Texter's Delight.

How do I enroll?
To enroll in the program, you need to be on a Virgin Mobile Monthly Plan - that includes our Monthly Voice Plans and Texter's Delight. You also need to be employed and eligible for state unemployment insurance benefits as determined by law in your state of residence at the time of your enrollment.
For Virgin Mobile customers who activated after 4/15/09:
- Activate and choose a Monthly Plan between 4/15/09 and 12/31/09 and you will be automatically enrolled in the Pink Slip Protection program.

How do I qualify for Pink Slip Protection?
You may qualify for Pink Slip Protection if (1) you become unemployed and are eligible to receive state unemployment insurance benefits, (2) you have made at least two monthly payments on a Monthly Plan, (3) you have been enrolled in the Program for at least 60 days, (4) your Virgin Mobile account is current, and (5) you make a claim within twelve months of enrolling in the Program.

How do I get Pink Slip Protection if I lose my job?
If worse comes to worst and you do lose your job, just call 877- 662 - 8282. You will be required to provide ALL the following information, your full name (the name on the account must match the name on the unemployment documentation), your Virgin Mobile USA pre-paid phone number, and a valid email address. After we get your info, we'll ask you to send us a copy of your government unemployment documents proving you are eligible to receive or are receiving unemployment insurance benefits.
As long as everything checks out, and you meet all the requirements listed above, you will receive a Pink Slip Protection credit to apply to your account each month (up to $90 per month) for 3 months.
You can file for a claim anytime within 12 months of your entry into the program as long as you've made at least 2 monthly payments and been enrolled for at least 60 days.

How much credit will I get?
Your Pink Slip Protection credit will be equal to: 1) the monthly charge of the Monthly Plan you are on when you file your claim, or 2) the monthly charge of the Monthly Plan you were on when you were enrolled in the program plus taxes and surcharges on that Monthly Plan, whichever is lower. You can receive a maximum credit of $90 per month for 3 months.

How do I receive my Pink Slip Protection credit?
We will provide you with a Pink Slip Protection credit one time per month for 3 months, after your claim has been approved.
You must apply the credit provided to you to your account before or on your payment due date. To insure that you have a sufficient balance to cover your monthly charge, do not use your Pink Slip Protection credit to purchase other products or services unless you have a sufficient balance to pay for these additional charges. You could go nuts and spend it all on ringtones and downloads, but we wouldn't suggest that. Once you've used up your Pink Slip Protection Credit, you'll still be responsible for any additional charges.

What if my monthly charges are greater than $90?
The maximum Pink Slip Protection credit is $90 per month for 3 months. If you have monthly charges greater than $90, you are responsible for paying any amount over $90. To have your Pink Slip Protection credit cover your monthly charges in full, switch to one of our new Monthly Plans with low rates priced from $14.99 to $49.99. See

For that reason, we recommend that you switch at the end of your monthly billing cycle if you are on a Monthly Plan or after you have used your minutes, messages and/or data allotment.

What happens if I have a registered credit card, debit card or PayPal account on file to pay my monthly charge?
If you have a registered credit card, debit card, or PayPal account (a "registered payment vehicle"), login and go to your account at
https://www.virginmobileusa.com/myvirginmobile/home.do to remove your registered payment vehicle during the three months that you receive Pink Slip Protection. This will prevent your registered payment vehicle from being charged during this three-month period that you are receiving Pink Slip Protection.
