How do I send a text message?

Here's how to do it...

1. Select Menu -> Messaging -> Send text msg.
2. Use Options -> Contacts to select a phone number from one of your contacts, or enter a new address in the Send To field. Then, press Next and to type in your message and hit Send.
3. To send to an email address, use the right navigation key to select the Email screen and hit Option -> Contacts to select a phone number from one of your contacts. Or, enter a new address in the Send To field.

There are six text entry modes: Case Change, Numbers, Normal, Rapid Entry, Add Symbol, Add Smiley. To switch between entering numbers, letters and symbols, select Options and then choose whichever entry mode best fits what you want to type.

How do I get my text messages?

When you receive a new text message, a message appears on your screen along with an envelope icon at the top. When this happens, select View (or Ignore, if you would rather read the message later).

Another way to find your text messages is by selecting Menu -> Messaging -> Inbox. Scroll through the messages to find the one you want.

How do I delete a text message?

Highlight the message in your Inbox and press Erase or open a message and select Options -> Erase. Then, select Yes at the prompt.

To erase ALL of the messages in a folder, Select Menu -> Messaging -> Erase Msgs. Choose the folder that you wish to clear and select Yes at the prompt.

How do I send a text message to an email address?

From the main Screen Select Menu -> Messaging -> Send Text Msg then press the right navigation key to scroll to email tab. Enter a new address in the Send To field or press Options -> Contacts to retrieve an email address. Then, type in your message and hit Send.
