How do I use the backlighting?

Your phone's screen automatically backlights when you are making a call or when you press any key.

You can adjust how long the backlighting stays on by going to Menu -> Settings -> Display -> Backlighting
Once on the Backlighting screen, you can select the following options: 5 seconds, 10 seconds (Default), 30 seconds, or 1 minute. Your backlighting will stay on for the selected length of time after your last keypress.

How do I lock/unlock the phone's keypad?

To lock and unlock your phone's keypad, press and hold the left navigation key.
Or, select Menu -> Settings -> Keyguard. Then highlight either of the options and press the OK button. You can set your phone to lock the keypad immediately, or automatically if no key is pressed after 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 5 minutes.

To unlock the keypad: Press 1-2-3 in that order.

How do I change my ringtone?

Go to Menu -> Settings -> Sounds -> Ringtones. Pick the ringtone you want to use.

How can I set-up different ringtones for different callers?

To assign a ringtone to a caller in your Contracts folder, go to Contacts -> Options -> Link Ringtone / Unlink Ringtone. This feature allows you to add or remove a ringtone to identify an incoming call from a contact.
You can also set up your phone to ring differently when you receive calls from different types of contacts - business or personal. To assign a ringtone to an entire class of contacts:
1. Go to Menu -> Settings -> Sounds.
2. Highlight Business Ring or Personal Ring and press the OK button. (To save a contact as business or personal, select the contact in your Contact List and select Options -> Classify Contact.)
3. Select a ringtone and press the OK button.

How do I adjust the volume (ringtone, headset, keypad)?

Here's how:

• Ringtone volume: select Menu -> Settings -> Sounds -> Ringtone Vol. Use the Left and Right Navigation Keys to set the volume. Press the OK button when finished to set the volume.
• Headset volume: Use the Up and Down Navigation Keys to find a comfortable level during a call.
• Keypad volume: select Menu -> Settings -> Sounds -> Key Volume or Key Length. Adjust the volume or length within these menus by using the navigation keys and press the OK button when you're done.

How do I make my phone vibrate instead of ring?

Go to Menu -> Settings -> Sounds -> Ring Mode. From the Ring Mode menu, select Vibrate Only.

How do I change the banner display?

Go to Menu -> Settings -> Display -> Greeting Banner. Select Edit, and then press the Back button to clear the screen. Type in a new banner that's up to 14 characters long.

How do I change my screensaver?

Go to Menu -> Settings -> Display -> Graphics -> Screen Saver. Pick the screensaver you want to use and press the OK button to enter your selection. Press the red end key to return to the main screen, wait a few seconds, and your new screensaver will appear.
