Programming your new phone number into your new cell phone only takes a few minutes. Just be sure to follow the right path.
Follow
PATH A if your Virgin Mobile Phone Number and your Phone's Network ID are the same number.
Follow
PATH B if your Virgin Mobile Phone Number and your Phone's Network ID are DIFFERENT numbers.
PATH A
1. Turn on your phone.
2. Using the keypad, dial
##VIRGIN (##847446) and press the red phone key.
3. You are now on the
SPC Code screen. Enter six "1's."
4. Now you are at the
NAM Setup screen. Select
NAM 1. Press the
OK key.
5. Now you're on the
Sub-NAM Menu. Select
Phone Number and press the OK key.
6. You are now on the
Mobile Phone Number screen. If any numbers appear on this screen, clear them out by pressing the
spk/clr key until all the numbers are gone. Enter the new 10-digit cell phone number that we gave you. Then press the
OK key.
7. Press the red phone key. Your phone will turn off and spring back to life on its own.
PATH B
1. Turn on your phone.
2. Using the keypad, dial
##VIRGIN (##847446) and press the red phone key.
3. You are now on the
SPC Code screen. Enter six "1's."
4. Now you are at the
NAM Setup screen. Select
NAM 1. Press the
OK key.
5. Now you're on the
Sub-NAM Menu. Select
Phone Number and press the
OK key.
6. You are now on the
Mobile Phone Number screen. If any numbers appear on this screen, clear them out by pressing the
spk/clr key until all the numbers are gone. Enter the 10 digit Network ID Number (leave off any zeros at the beginning) that we gave you. Then press
OK.
7. You're now back in the Sub-NAM Menu. Select
DIR Number and press
OK.
8. On the
CDMA DIR Number screen, clear out any numbers that are there by pressing the
spk/clr key until all the numbers are gone. Enter the 10 digit Phone Number that we gave you. Then press
OK.
9. Press the red phone key. Your phone will turn off and spring back to life on its own.
That's it - you're done!
