How do I get my text messages?

When you get a text message, an envelope icon appears on your phone's main screen. When this happens, press the "3 dot" button. To read your new message press the "3 dot" button again.

Or from the main display, press the "2 dot" button to select the Messages Menu. Scroll through the items and press OK to select Text Inbox. Scroll through the messages and press the "3 dot" button to read one.

How do I send a text message?

Press the "3 dot" button to select Menu. Scroll through the items and press OK to select Messages -> Send New. Enter the phone number and select Next. Enter the message, select Next -> Send.

How do I delete text messages?

From the main screen:

Press the "2 dot" button to select the Messages Menu. Scroll through the items and press OK to select Text Inbox. Select a message and press the "spk/clr" button to delete it. Press the "3 dot" button to confirm deletion.

How do I turn off the beep that alerts me when I get a text message?

Press the "3 dot" button to select Menu. Scroll through the items and press OK to select Messages -> Msg Settings -> Alert and pick the kind of notification you want to use.
