How do I get my text messages?

When you get a new text message, an envelope icon appears on the screen. When this happens, press OK and select View (or Ignore, if you would rather read the message later).

Another way to find your text messages is by selecting Menu -> Messages -> Text Inbox. Scroll through the messages to find the one you want.

How do I send a text message?

Select Menu -> Messages -> Send New. Select a phone number or email address from one of your contacts, or enter a new address in the Send To field. Then, type in your message and hit Send.

To enter numbers or symbols in the message, click on the ABC button (psst... If you can't find it, try looking right next to the Send button). To add Emoticons (smiley faces, etc.) or AutoText to a message, click Options -> Insert and then choose Emoticons or AutoText.

How do I delete text messages?

Open the message and select Erase. Then, select Yes at the prompt.

To erase ALL of the messages in a folder, Select Menu -> Messages -> Erase Msgs. Choose the folder that you wish to clear and select Yes at the prompt.

How do I turn off the beep that alerts me when I get a text message?

Select Menu -> Settings-> Msg Settings -> Message Alert and pick the kind of notification you want to use.
