When do I need to select my plan?
You select your plan at the beginning of the activation process.

When does the "day" start?
For voice service, each "day" starts at 12:00 A.M. in the time zone where your phone is registered.
For browsing VirginXL/VirginXtras on your phone, each "day" starts at 12:00 A.M. PST and ends at 11:59 P.M. PST of the next calendar day. If you choose to browse our VirginXL/VirginXtras, it will cost 15 cents for the day. At 11:59 P.M. PST of the second day, the clock resets and it will cost another 15 cents to browse again.

Does it cost the same no matter where I call from?
Yes, rates are the same no matter where you use your phone. That includes all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

What happens if I don't talk for a whole minute?
Call time is rounded up to the minute.

Am I charged for inbound and 800 number calls?
Yes. You are charged airtime for those calls, just as you are for outbound calls.

What is 411 and how much does it cost?
You can't make a call if you don't know the number, so let us help. Virgin Mobile's 411 service goes above and beyond directory assistance. It includes free call completion, as well as movie listings, restaurant reservations, sports scores, horoscopes, and weather forecasts. You can also choose to receive the 411 info via text message. Virgin Mobile's 411 service costs $1.75 per call plus standard airtime charges. Standard text messaging pricing applies to receive 411 info via text message.

Yes, and there are no extra charges for it. That includes all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Can I make international calls?
Yes. Just call Virgin Mobile At Your Service at 1-888-322-1122 and they will enable international calling for you.(You don't currently need to have international calling set up to call Canada.)
